Although Zoom are perhaps dwarfed by larger names such as Korg and Boss, they should not be ignored. This pedal is a beautiful piece of kit and for the price it is startling value.
Although it may look inferior, this has all of the power of a Boss ME series pedal, although you do sacrifice some intuitiveness of design with the basic screen. The effects are powerful and easily modified, the patch creation is simple provided you have the time to check every modulation in the manual to see what it does and the sound is rich and clean.
What really sweetens the deal, however, is the inclusion of CuBase LE, an intensely powerful piece of music recording software. It is intuitive, clever and amazingly easy to use, allowing you to create beautiful compositions with the pedal’s direct USB link to your computer.
This is the sort of kit that will waste your life away, so be warned. An excellent buy.
